One World Education is excited to announce that it's philanthropic community keeps growing! Both new grants will help support general operating expenses as we expand the number of charter schools reached, launch our Teacher Fellowship, and digitize the One World Program.

Recently we received renewed funding from the John Edward Fowler Memorial Foundation, a Virginia foundation that focuses its giving on empowering disadvantaged people and is particularly interested in funding organizations that are addressing homelessness, hunger, at-risk children and youth, adult literacy, free medical care, seniors aging in place, and job training and placement.

New this year is support from Sharing DC, a donor-advised fund in collaboration with the Greater Washington Community Foundation. The purpose of Sharing DC is to support nonprofit organizations based in, and directly serving, low-income children, youth, adults and families in the District of Columbia. The focus area for the 2017 Sharing DC grant cycle is youth post-secondary education. The primary goal is to help District of Columbia youth access and be successful in post-secondary education and training, including traditional college and university credentials and industry recognized certifications.
