Friendship Southeast 7th-grader Janae Poindexter shared her research on rising costs and price gouging. She called on Congress to pass legislation to make it illegal for corporations to price gouge.

Center City NOMA 8th-grader Mar’Vel McLeod argued for more support of the Safe Passage program to transport DC students to and from school. He spoke about the increase in crime over the past few years and how this makes it more dangerous for kids to travel through the city.
