One World Education is thrilled to welcome three new members to our team: Dave McGloin, Jessie Grosshart, and Nina Modanlo! In June 2017, Dave joined One World as the Director of Research and Strategy. In this role, Dave oversees all of the organization’s communication and development strategy, plus serves as the lead grant writer. Prior to joining One World, Dave won an Emmy while at CBS News and started the nationwide Read Across America celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
As part of One World’s partnership with Fair Chance, two AmeriCorps VISTAs joined our staff in August 2017, Jessie and Nina. Jessie serves as the Program and Evaluation VISTA, in which she leads student assessments at partner schools, manages communication on various social media platforms, and maintains our Research Portal. Previously, Jessie was a preschool teacher in Missouri for a year. Nina serves as the Development and Communications VISTA. In this role, Nina supports One World’s development and partnership outreach, plus spearheads planning for our two annual events, the Symposium on Preparing College-Ready Writers and the Student Ambassador Challenge. Nina just graduated from Johns Hopkins University in May.
Welcome Dave, Jessie, and Nina! Their contributions will be of great value to our ongoing efforts to build the research, writing, and presentation skills of middle and high school students across the city.
