Cyberbullying not only causes people’s feelings to be hurt but it also affects their mental health! This is important to me because cyberbullying is causing people to be suicidal, sometimes at a young age, and suffer from depression and the worst part is that most people don’t receive consequences for it. Cyberbullying makes both minors and adults feel angry, sad, and embarrassed so you should let kids know you care and want to help and advocate for them.

Cyberbullying makes kids feel bothered and traumatized, cyberbullying causes kids to feel angry, sad, and embarrassed. According to the article, Cyberbullying what teachers and schools can do, it says, “While research shows that cyberbullying makes both boys and girls feel angry, sad, and embarrassed.” (Newsela) This actively demonstrates that cyberbullying not only makes them feel bad and sad, it makes them angry and embarrassed, cyberbullying really hurts kids’ feelings.

Helping kids get through cyberbullying will let them know you care. Advocating is the best solution to help kids know you care. I know this because the article Cyberbullying what teachers and schools can do, it says  “Let kids know you care and want to help. If there is a problem, you will advocate for them.” (Newsela) This demonstrates that helping kids and advocating for them helps them know you care.

Some parents might think taking kids’ technology and punishing them would help but it actually doesn’t. Instead to let them know you care you should advocate for them. I know this because in the text Cyberbullying what teachers and schools can do, it says “Although there should be consequences for cyberbullying, many experts say it should not be all about punishment. Those who bully need to understand the impact of their actions, and they can often benefit from counseling. Listen to the students and let the target be part of the solution. In conclusion, helping kids and advocating for them helps them know you care.”

To sum up everything that has been stated, cyberbullying makes kids feel sad, mad and embarrassed. If you show that you care for them they might not feel all of those emotions knowing that a lot of people care for them instead of 1 person.
