Imagine you are breathing in thick, polluted air, and your heart starts to hurt. Can you imagine breathing air that is 16 times worse than the World Health Organization’s recommended levels? That’s what people in Bangladesh have to breathe every day. Air pollution in Bangladesh poses a significant problem for the 171.2 million people living there. In some cases, in fact, the effects of air pollution can be more harmful than smoking or tobacco. To address this problem, the President of Bangladesh should promote the adoption of green technology.

Green technology involves the use of scientific advancements to develop environmentally friendly products and services that protect our planet. Air pollution in Bangladesh poses a problem for the 171.2 million people living in that country, as it can impact their health. Recent reports show that pollution can hurt the health of people and the environment. The causes of air pollution are vehicle emissions, industrial discharges, and the widespread use of kilns to make bricks. According to the text, Bangladesh’s air quality is among the world’s worst. What can be done? It says, “The effect of the air pollution is that it can reduce life expectancy in Bangladesh by 6.9 years.” This can affect the population of the world. In summary, air pollution is a major issue as it harms both the environment in Bangladesh and affects the health of millions of people.

To address this problem, the President of Bangladesh could promote the adoption of green technology, mostly improved kiln technology. This solution could help protect the health of the population. According to the text Bangladesh, “In 2018, the Ministry endorsed one of its most significant commitments to climate and clean air yet.” This clearly indicates that green technology has the potential to significantly reduce air pollution in Bangladesh. Recently, because of more green technology, the country experienced its cleanest air quality to date. With continued investment in green tech and an increasing number of people adopting these practices, Bangladesh can achieve even cleaner air in the years to come.

As you can see, air pollution in Bangladesh poses a significant problem for the 171.2 million people living in the country, as it can negatively impact their health. Air pollution should be reduced in Bangladesh because it can reduce life expectancy by 6.9 years, and that can affect the population of the world. In other words, saving people is like saving the future.
