One World Education is beginning its 2014-2015 school year with two fantastic new funders. Both are on board to support the expansion of the Writing Program into middle school – with their support we will be bringing the program to 8th graders in 10 public charter schools!
The first new donor is The City Fund, an initiative of the District of Columbia’s One City Action Plan, which works to make the District of Columbia a more healthy, stable, and vibrant place to live for all its residents. One of its main goals is to "educate and prepare the workforce for the new economy." The City Fund is administered by The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region.
The second new donor is The Lois and Richard England Family Foundation, a private family foundation driven by the Englands' desire to improve their community, as well as to support other US and international organizations.
