One World Education is pleased to announce that it was a recipient of a DC Commission on The Arts & Humanities (DCCAH) FY 2015 East of The River Grant and a FY 2015 Grants-In-Aid Grant, two of the eight grant programs that they administer. The DCCAH provides grants, professional opportunities, education enrichment, and other programs and services to individuals and nonprofit organizations in all communities within the District of Columbia. The Grants-In-Aid Grant provides general operating support, and the East of the River grant supports access to high-quality arts and humanities experiences for residents living east of the Anacostia River. OWEd will use this grant to help bring its One World Writing Program to three DCPS high schools – Anacostia, Ballou, and Woodson.
