OWEd is excited to announce that over the next few months we will engage in several service projects so our student ambassadors can give back to our community. Put these dates on your calendars!
- January 12 and March 8 – Partner with the Rotary Club and Thrive DC to serve food to those in need at the St. Stephen's Community Center in Columbia Heights, followed by a pizza party for Rotary Club volunteers and OWEd student ambassadors and parents. Space is limited, so sign up soon! Send your name and preferred date of service to deanna@oneworldeducation.org.
- February 11 – All hands on deck (ambassadors, parents, and staff!) to participate in a Pancake Breakfast benefiting the Rotary Club to fund their upcoming local projects (including One World Education). Not only will you be supporting the great work of the Rotary Club and One World Education, it will be a great opportunity to meet and mingle with members of the community that are interested in volunteerism and humanitarian work. And YES, you can eat many, many pancakes! Get in touch with deanna@oneworleducation.org with specific questions.
